How does
GPS work?
GPS or global
positioning systems work as a part of 24 satellites orbiting
the earth. A GPS receiver in your car (or a portable
handheld model) picks up the satellites signals and converts it
into information usable by you to find your way from location
to location.
The GPS receiver
connects with several satellites and determines its (and your)
location based on it physical relationship to those
satellites.
